Experiential Natural Science

Also, Everglades airboat rides will get young minds up close to the American Alligator and other aquatic creatures. In addition, there are hundreds of different species of birds. At the same time, students can be enriched by the history of the Seminole Tribe, who have coexisted with nature in the Everglades for about 300 years.
School field trips to Billie Swamp Safari provide a chance at incorporating education through several learning styles at once. Our natural science field trips offer students the opportunity to learn as individuals, with whatever style suits them best (audio, visual, tactile). However, since our students are our future, they will assist in further preservation of the Everglades, which has dwindled significantly in size. This reduction is due largely in part to human interference, so educating the next generation on the importance and relevance of the everglades is essential.
Partners in Education
Billie Swamp Safari has made it their mission to increase understanding of the Everglades and improve education curriculum through the partners in education program. In addition to a wonderful field trip option for classes, several individualized programs can be offered in support of this objective. Students with improved grades are able to gain admission (for themselves and one guardian) to a Free Critter Show upon presentation of their report cards. Also, educators can similarly benefit through our free Swamp Safari Day passes during the month of July.
